Nanc holds a BFA from Parsons School of Design in New York and a Certificate in Decorative Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI. Her work has been shown at the Rhode Island School of Design and the Student Art Show at the DeCordova Museum in Lincoln, MA.

Nanc worked for many years as a graphic designer in Boston and New York. Past clients have included the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the United Nations, and the Big Dig road/tunnel construction project in Boston. She has been an adjunct instructor at the Massachusetts College of Art and has illustrated numerous books.
